On that day, a tool for equity and mobility enters society, moving imagination into reality for those
seeking a better life. The lottery of where you were born loses relevance. Lines between the first world
and the developing world blur. Exploitation loses a foothold in a society of the equally connected and
knowledge-rich. Connection.
A new platform for the digital age is approaching the horizon. This virtual society, sharable by people
around the world, is within reach. It will transform the way citizens think about technology because
they will be able to think less about it. Under their own control, citizens of all ages can improve
the way they learn from one another and open their doors to people and places too unwieldy to work

1Society is a collaborative effort between some of the worlds most inventive designers, architects,
engineers and educators. It connects people worldwide through a series of services and online communities
(interrelated societies) that mirror the way people work together in the real world. Services and societies
will interoperate based on new industry standard protocols for cross-system secure information sharing.
The systems themselves will use an open source model that puts ownership into the hands of the individuals
who participate.
